      Getting your site fully live

Everything left to do, in order, written for a phone. Every step has a button that takes you to the right place. Steps tick themselves when the site can tell they are done; tick the rest as you go, they save on the spot. Anything you would rather not do yourself, HAND can do for you.

      01

Read every line, and check the phone number

      Done automatically

Every line on the site is yours to change here. The phone number is the one thing that must be exactly right: every Call button dials it.

      Read the live site ↗

      On your phone

      1. Tap Check the phone number and confirm it digit by digit.
      2. Tap Open the home page copy and go section by section; fix anything that sounds off.
      3. Tap Publish changes at the bottom, then Read the live site on your phone.

Done when: You have read the live site top to bottom and the number dials you.

      02

      Paste the real review links

      Done automatically

Guests who scan the review code on the bus are sent to two links. Today the Google one opens a search for the business and the Viator one is a best guess. The real Google link drops a guest straight onto the stars.

Open Google Business ↗Try the review page ↗

      On your phone

      1. Tap Open Google Business, open your profile, tap Ask for reviews and copy the link (it starts with g.page/r/).
      2. Tap Paste the Google link, paste it, then Publish changes.
      3. Open your Viator listing in a browser, copy the address, tap Paste the Viator link and paste it.
      4. Tap Try the review page, enter the code, and tap each button: it should land on your listing.

Rather have HAND do it? Send HAND the two links and we will paste them.

Done when: Both buttons on the review page open your real listings.

      03

Confirm the small facts in the itinerary

      Done automatically

Arrive by 10:15, drop-offs from about 3:30, home by about 5, tasting prices of about $25 and $17, cold water on board. They are on the page as a promise; a wrong one is the kind of detail a bad review is made of.

      On your phone

      1. Tap Open the itinerary: each stop has its time, its text and its chips (one per line).
      2. Fix any time, price or claim that is not true today, then Publish changes.

Done when: Every time and price on the home page matches how the day actually runs.

      04

Confirm the five policies in the FAQ

      Done automatically

Late guests, weather, alcohol on board, accessibility and tipping were drafted from your notes. They are your policy the moment they are published, so read them once.

      Read the FAQ page ↗

      On your phone

      1. Tap Open the FAQ answers, find "What happens if I'm late?", "Does the tour run in bad weather?", "Can we drink on the van?", "Is the tour accessible?" and "Should I tip the guide?".
      2. Change any answer that is not how you actually run the day. The accessibility one especially: describe the real van.
      3. Tap Publish changes.

Done when: All five answers say what you would say on the phone.

      05

      Read the privacy policy once

      Done automatically

The site runs Google Analytics and Ads tags and two contact forms, which require a published policy. It was written from how the site really works; tell it anything that is wrong, for example how long you keep booking records.

Read it on the site ↗

      On your phone

      1. Tap Read it on the site and read it once.
      2. Anything wrong? Tap Open the policy text, fix the line, Publish changes.

Done when: You have read it and it describes what you actually do.

      06

Decide the private tour price and deposit

      Done automatically

The private tours page says "request a quote" and "no deposit until you are happy with the plan". Publishing a rate filters tyre-kickers; hiding it gets more conversations. Either is fine, but it should be your choice.

      See the page ↗

      On your phone

      1. Tap Open the quote text and write the rate, or the deposit terms, in your own words.
      2. Tap Publish changes.

Done when: The private tours page says what you charge, or exactly how you quote.

      07

Swap in your own photos as you get them

      Done automatically

Every photo slot on the site is in Media, grouped by where it shows (Home hero, Gallery, Salt Lick, and so on). The shots worth getting next: the van boarding on South Congress, a wide Salt Lick shot, both wineries by name, and your guide doing the job.

      On your phone

      1. Tap Open Media. Each photo has a category: that is where it shows on the site.
      2. Tap Replace on a photo to swap it without losing its spot, or Add photos and type the category (for example Gallery).

Done when: The pickup point, The Salt Lick and both wineries show real, recognisable photos.

      08

      Claim your Google Business Profile

      Done automatically

When someone searches "wine tour near me", the map results come from Business Profiles, not websites. This is the biggest free source of bookings and it also unlocks the real review link above.

      Open Google Business ↗

      On your phone

      1. Tap Open Google Business, then Manage now, and enter Long Horn Wine Tours.
      2. Add the phone number, the days the tour runs, and the website address.
      3. Verify the business when Google asks, add photos, and ask two or three recent guests for a review.

Rather have HAND do it? HAND can be added as a manager on the profile and fill in the details for you.

Done when: Searching the business name on Google shows the profile with your phone, website and hours.

      You have unpublished changes.
