I live in Austin but had never taken a hill country wine tour. My friend decided to sign us up for this one and it was such a fun day! We visited wineries that I was unfamiliar with and enjoyed the views, the wines, and of course Salt Lick barbecue. Our tour guide Moe did a great job! He sensed what was best for our group and was very accommodating to make sure we had the best time. This tour really captured the beauty of our hill country.
Our tour guide was friendly and knowledgable. I booked this experience for my husbands birthday and we had so much fun! The wine vineyards were great. We bought a few bottles of wine to take home that’s how much we liked it. Our group was super fun and funny!! We had a great time!!
My daughter and I had an amazing time with Long Horn Wine Tours. Everything was smooth, relaxed, and well organized from start to finish. The stops were great, and the atmosphere made it easy to just enjoy the day together. It was a perfect experience, and I highly recommend it.
Excellent experience overall from pickup to drop off and everything in between. I especially appreciate the choice in wineries as there’s something for everyone. First one has a balance menu of sweet and dry, the next Lena’s for sweet and the last is a fun twist on Italian varietals (dry leaning)
Mo was an outstanding tour guide. Friendly, knowledgeable, and professional from start to finish. He made the entire experience enjoyable and kept everything running smoothly. I would absolutely recommend Longhorn Tours to anyone looking for a great tour experience. They truly do an excellent job.
Amazing wine tour experience! Our guide Alex was friendly, knowledgeable, and made the whole day effortless and fun. Great wineries, great wine, and a great time. Highly recommend!
Before you book
Questions asked.
Are the wine tasting and BBQ included in the reservation cost?
No. Your reservation covers your seat, driver, and transportation for the day. Food, drinks, and wine tastings are not included and can be purchased directly at each stop based on your preferences.
How long do we get at each stop?
Forty-five minutes at each winery, and 45 to 60 minutes at The Salt Lick. That's real time on the ground — enough to eat, taste the flight and sit outside for a minute, not a rushed lap of the tasting bar.
Where does the tour leave from?
2103 S Congress Ave, Austin, TX 78704 — on South Congress, walking distance from most downtown and SoCo hotels. Please be there by 10:15 so we can leave at 10:30.
Is there a minimum age?
Yes — 21 and over, no exceptions, and everyone needs valid photo ID. Wineries card at the door and so do we.
What's your cancellation policy?
Cancel at least 24 hours before departure and you get a full refund, no questions. Inside 24 hours we can't refund the seat, because it's held for you and the van only has ten.
Can we book the whole van?
Yes. Private buyouts for up to 14 guests are our most popular option for birthdays, bachelorette parties and company outings, and the route can be adjusted. See private tours and groups.
